Sitting in a Tong opposite the then Banani campus of NSU, four youngsters full of ideas and the passion for doing something exciting indulged in a thrilling conversation about creating a platform for their love of constructive discussion that we know as debate. After millions of conversations filled with dreams and hopes, they finally concluded that a platform needed to be created that the university had never seen before for all the fantastic minds to come, generation after generation. With ambitions for accolades, on June 14, 1993, the first-ever non-profit, non-partisan, extra-curricular club of North South University was formed. It was then time to open the gates and build the house brick by brick, to create a field for the war of words to start, and with those values in roots, since then, the club has taken the lead in housing glory and nurturing talent by acting as a beaming light for setting standards for debate nationwide.
